Dr Phillip Lee MP visits local Pub, the Rose and Crown
Friday, 22nd of February 2013, Dr Phillip Lee MP for Bracknell, visited The Rose and Crown pub – the oldest pub in Sandhurst. Dr Lee met with landlords Pete & Michelle Cozens to learn more about their business and pull a few pints behind the bar.
Dr Lee is a great supporter of the Great British Pub Movement and the Campaign for Real Ale. At such visits Dr Lee enjoys learning more about the art of pulling pints and the secrets behind managing the many successful pubs in Bracknell constituency. Each pub has a different but vibrant atmosphere and he especially enjoys meeting the locals as well as families who dine in some of these establishments, such as the Rose and Crown in Sandhurst.
The family run pub offers a very relaxing atmosphere for locals and visitors to enjoy a pint of beer or ale and some delicious food. The fire keeps customers warm particularly when it’s that cold outside.
Dr Lee commented: “I really enjoyed pulling a few pints and meeting the landlords, Pete & Michelle Cozens, of the Rose and Crown Pub. It is the oldest pub in Sandhurst and offers a fantastic atmosphere for locals to keep warm and enjoy a great pint of beer or local ale.”
