I am so proud to have been elected as the Member of Parliament for the Bracknell constituency. There are so many people that I have to thank for their superb efforts over the last few months. Above all, though, I must thank the people of Bracknell constituency for voting for me in such large numbers. I have been humbled by the level of support that I have received. It is now my responsibility to deliver on the trust that has been placed in me by the people of this great constituency.

Yesterday, I was invited by a Bracknell-based small businessman to outline why I believe voting for the Conservatives this coming Thursday wil be good for the Bracknell constituency and good for Britain. His website can be viewed here.

This evening, I was invited to attend a political hustings staged by Churches Together at the Easthampstead Baptist church in Bracknell. It was a well-attended event during which each of the invited candidates got to put forward their positions on a whole array of issues. Special mention must go to Rev. Chris Porter who chaired the meeting magnificently. Indeed, all of the churches involved are to be congratulated for arranging what has turned out to be the only open hustings of the campaign. From my own perspective, I hope that everyone present went away understanding the values and principles that underscore my political views.

Yesterday, I had a wonderful day in the constituency. It started in the High Street in Crowthorne, moved on to the official opening ceremony of the new Baptist Community Centre in Finchampstead (pictured above on an earlier visit), then on to the Town Centre in Bracknell to set up a campaign stand and ended at a fantastic silver band evening performance in Sandhurst. By the end of the day, not only had I undertaken successful campaigning in the towns of Crowthorne and Bracknell, I also had, had the pleasure and privilege of attending two outstanding community events. What is clear to me, is that if I am successful at becoming the next MP for the Bracknell constituency, I will be a very fortunate man.

Today, we introduced our ‘battle bus’ to the local campaign to make me the next MP for the Bracknell constituency. This morning we were out in College Town, this afternoon we visited Hanworth and later on this evening we will be in Harmans Water. Come and join us as we work hard to get rid of Gordon Brown’s Labour government.

Yesterday evening, I was out with my ward team in Great Hollands. And what a fantastic team they proved to be. An impressive effort was made by all which was rewarded with a great response on the doorsteps. We encountered a strongly-held belief that Britain needs real change. What is clear to the majority of people that I meet in Bracknell constituency, is that the changes our great country needs can, and will only, be delivered by a Conservative government.

Tomorrow, I will be beginning the final stage of my campaign to become the next MP for the Bracknell constituency. It will start on The Warren in Bracknell at 1.45pm. Over the next three weeks, I am looking forward to meeting as many constituents as possible. My plan is to visit and join our many canvassers in each ward of the constituency at least twice during this final stage, as well as setting up town centre campaign stands in Crowthorne and Bracknell on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Please come along and join the campaign to return the Conservatives to government.

Yesterday morning, I was invited to attend a live radio debate on BBC Berkshire. Four of the candidates for the Bracknell constituency responded to the invitation.
